Classrooms - Computer Lab |

All fifteen networked computers in the computer lab at Grace Lutheran School have recently been upgraded. All of the computers have Internet access with active content filtering. Instruction in the computer lab begins with the four-year old Kindergarten class and continues all the way through the eighth grade. Each class is in the computer lab at least twice a week. Younger students are taught about the parts of the computer and their function and proper use. These classes for younger children teach about the letters of the keyboard as the children learn to type their names, the alphabet, and simple words. Throughout their years at Grace Lutheran, students will learn more about keyboarding, word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, Internet use and research, and even creating and coding their own web sites. The Accelerated Reader computer system is also housed in the computer lab. It was recently expanded to three networked computers to allow greater student usage. We have quizzes available for many books, and we strive to add new books as student interest grows. Mrs. Grunewald is married and has three children who attend Grace Lutheran School. She and her family live in Oak Creek and are active members of Grace Lutheran Church. Mrs. Grunewald graduated from Concordia University—Wisconsin. She has been teaching for thirteen years and has been at Grace Lutheran since 2001. |
