The Core Values of Grace LutheranStewardship |
|||
|
We greatly value our calling to be faithful stewards of God's gifts in all aspects of life. We give back a portion as God has blessed us, as a thank offering, and we share these gifts to meet the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of others. We care for one another also through continued prayer for one another. Deuteronomy 16:16b-17 - "No man should appear before the LORD empty-handed: Each of you must bring a gift in proportion to the way the LORD your God has blessed you." 1 Corinthians 16:2 - "On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made." 2 Corinthians 8:5 - "And they did not do as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then to us in keeping with God's will." Acts 2:45 - "Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need."
